iPod Touch Trouble |

I have and iPod touch 4th generation.I tried to install iOS 6 beta 3 without a developer account, and it worked fine. Then I tried to restore it without the computer (Through settings.app) and it restored. I went through the setup process with the device, and once I was finished, it gave me an error saying that the device could not be activated because I was not part of the developer program, so I plugged it into my computer. I tried to restore it from there, but I couldn't. It gave me the same error as it did on my device and I can no longer do anything with the $200 device.
Now most of you are going to tell me to put it into recovery mode by holding down the power button for 5 second, home and power for 10 seconds and just home button for 15 seconds but here's the thing: my lock button's broken, just my luck
I called Apple Support, and long story short, she told me to uninstall and reinstall iTunes. Wow. That did nothing at all. Next week I'm going to take the device into the Apple store to see if the "Geniuses" can do anything about it. Sorry for writing a novel, but that's my problem. If I was unclear about anything, let me know. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks!

Windows 8 Display Resolution |

Alright, right now I am running Windows 8 on a Gateway MX7515 laptop, and when I try to change the resolution in Desktop mode, the ComboBox is faded at 1024x768 and won't let me change the resolution at all. I tried installing the VGA drivers from the Gateway site, but they are drivers for Windows XP, which is the OS that was preinstalled on the laptop. When I opened the 'Setup.exe' file, it gave me an error.
I have a ATI Mobility Radeon x600 card, and me, being a neat freak, low resolition annoys the crap out of me, so help would be appreciated. If you need more information, let me know.

Which web browser do you prefer? |

The title says it all. Well, let's start with me. I prefer Firefox because it is easily customized and has a lot of add-ons that you can install. It's just pure awesomeness.
