Which language do you use more often (VB or Java)?
Personally, since I started learning Java, I used VB more rare and rare until I strated developing games in Java. Since then, I haven't used Visual Basic.

I use VB.NET more currently as I find it easier to make office applications due to my lack of Java knowledge. However, as time goes on, I will begin building more and more applications with Java.

Sorry for replying to old threads.
But, I've been messing with some Swing. I must say, it is much more fun creating applications with Java than it is with VB.NET.

VB.NET is not bad, but with Java, you can create platform-independent applications. It means that it can run on any OS.

Well java is used in many devices now days but I think vb net is easy and i like it better because i have being using it for long time.

I started learning VB a while ago but i kinda lost interest because it can only do certain amount thing unless you are a genius. With Java you don't have to be a smarty-pants(well you kind of have to be) to get it to do more different programs. Even though VB is much easier to write Java is more versatile. I for one like Java better.
