iPod Touch Trouble
#1
I have and iPod touch 4th generation.I tried to install iOS 6 beta 3 without a developer account, and it worked fine. Then I tried to restore it without the computer (Through settings.app) and it restored. I went through the setup process with the device, and once I was finished, it gave me an error saying that the device could not be activated because I was not part of the developer program, so I plugged it into my computer. I tried to restore it from there, but I couldn't. It gave me the same error as it did on my device and I can no longer do anything with the $200 device.

Now most of you are going to tell me to put it into recovery mode by holding down the power button for 5 second, home and power for 10 seconds and just home button for 15 seconds but here's the thing: my lock button's broken, just my luck

I called Apple Support, and long story short, she told me to uninstall and reinstall iTunes. Wow. That did nothing at all. Next week I'm going to take the device into the Apple store to see if the "Geniuses" can do anything about it. Sorry for writing a novel, but that's my problem. If I was unclear about anything, let me know. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks!

I have always had problems with Apple devices and the "DRM" rules that they setup on everything. I think the best thing you could do is take it into a local "Genius Bar", as I have never been able to fix these sort of problems on my own.
