I'm hoping to get a flash drive sometime soon, which I plan to put Ubuntu 12.10 on and use in replacement of my Windows 7 Starter. But, Ubuntu doesn't support Visual Studio. I've tried Monodevelop but it only has a designer for C#, and even it's confusing.
So, I decided to learn Java. I know you can download Eclipse for this and I might, but how would I write a program in java in Notepad (Or the Ubuntu equilvilent) and compile it in the Terminal? Or Command Prompt until I get my USB?
Thanks for the help <!-- s --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_e_biggrin.gif" alt="" title="Very Happy" /><!-- s -->
