New graphics card - brco900033 - 10-27-2012

I'm planning to buy a new vidcard, an AMD Radeon HD7850. Has anyone a 7000 series video card from AMD? I don't know the quality of AMD because I always had an nVidia. I'm definetely going to overclock him, I heard that the 7850 card is only worth when you overclock it.

I am currently running an HD Radeon 6870, and I have had no problems with it. I can run most games on max graphics settings with 60+ FPS. According to Tom's Hardware (http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/rad ... 148-6.html) the 7850 runs very well. I don't think you'll have any problems with it.

Overall, AMD cards tend to be cheaper than nVidia. They also tend to run a little cooler. However, if a game requires PhysX (Like GTA), AMD cards fall a little short.
