Java and JavaScript - Vinwarez - 03-12-2012 Hello, BP community. I wanted to ask, what is the difference between Java and Javascript. I've heard that Java is more complex than JavaScript. Is it true? Should I learn JavaScript before learning Java? That is all I want to ask, at the moment. Thank you! Regards, Vinwarez. Re: Java and JavaScript - brandonio21 - 03-12-2012 Well, from what I understand they are different languages that are syntactically alike. Meaning that they use the same C-Style programming symbols and such. Java seems to be a little more confusing than Javascript, but Java also packs some more power. It all really depends on what you want to do. For example, I believe that Javascript can only be run in WebBrowsers whereas Java can be run as Desktop Applications. Re: Java and JavaScript - Vinwarez - 03-12-2012 Oh! Now I see the difference. Well, since Java is more confusing, I think I will first learn JavaScript. Thanks! Regards, Vinwarez. |
