Version 1.6 has been completed, but has not yet been released to the public.

The following improvements have been made:

-Update checking is now done while TwitControl is starting up, making the program load faster

-A new icon is used

-Startup plugins no longer run, because of a security threat this posed.

-Facebook authentication occurs everytime the 'Start Tracking' button is pressed

-Facebook status checking has been improved in speed

-TwitControl no longer asks for your Facebook password

Version 1.6 Pre-Release Version 2 has been completed, and addresses several issues found in the last version.

This version adds:

-Fixed plugin mode, a minor security threat is still present, but startup plugins are now completely functional

-"Scripts" Have been added, so custom commands can be added without generating a plugin
